We are currently compiling the consultation data and assessing the feasibility of the project and potential next steps, should the project be deemed viable to proceed.

Balgray Reservoir Artwork Feasibility

East Renfrewshire Council have commissioned a Balgray Reservoir Artwork Feasibility Project exploring options for a public artwork to be installed within the Balgray Reservoir area. Iglu Studio and Bespoke Atelier are the design team commissioned with the project and they would like to hear the community’s views to help inform and shape the feasibility study.

The future artwork project is subject to securing additional funding and the outcome of this feasibility work will form an important part of funding applications.


How Can You Get Involved

  • This Balgray Reservoir Artwork Feasibility questionnaire closed on 3 March 2026.
  • Early 2026 - We will be working with local schools to engage young people in the conversation considering the possibilities of art in the environment.
  • Spring 2026 - Saturday 28 February drop-in event at Barrhead Foundry between 10am-4pm.
