East Renfrewshire Council are committed to improving facilities for walking and cycling in the local area and have made a number of improvements over recent years.
In order to prioristise future improvements the Council are committed to developing an Active Travel Plan which will provide the policy framework and plans for improvements, with the aim of increasing levels of walking and cycling in the area.
The development of a local Active Travel Plan is in line with the Cycling Action Plan for Scotland 2013 and the 2014 National Walking Strategy.
In order to inform the Active Travel Action Plan and help prioritise improvements, the Council is keen to get the views of local residents.
This questionnaire is also being supplemented by a similar survey of some 500 residents across the Council area and pedestrian and cyclist count data collected at over 25 sites.
Your participation in this consultation will help ensure that the final Active Travel Action Plan reflects the priorities of residents.
The results from this survey will be used to inform the development of the Active Travel Action Plan which will be published by the Summer of 2015.
