Have Your Say on Improvements in Thornliebank
Between April 2024 and March 2025, East Renfrewshire Council carried out several improvement projects in the Thornliebank area. These included upgrades to local paths, parks, shopfronts, and car parking.
We’re now asking for your feedback on these projects. Your views will help us understand what worked well and what could be improved. This will also guide us in planning any future support for the area.
Here’s a quick look at what was done:
- Thornliebank Pathways:
We improved local back lanes, connecting the Main St with Wisner Court and Kennishead Road with colourful pavement art, solar-powered lighting, new plants, and fencing to make the area more attractive and safer.
- Thornliebank Playing Fields – Better Access:
We made it easier for everyone to get into the play park, known locally as the High Park, and added new features to make it more welcoming and enjoyable.
- Thornliebank Play Park Upgrades:
We installed new play equipment to make the park more inclusive and fun for children and families.
- Thornliebank Shopfront Improvement Grant Scheme:
Local shops on Main Street received support to improve the look and condition of their shopfronts.
- Thorntree Hall Car Park:
The car park next to Thorntree Hall was upgraded to make it more convenient and user-friendly.
We’d love to hear what you think. Your feedback really matters and will help shape future changes in Thornliebank.
