Have schools been considered?

Yes. The potential impact of planned growth on school capacity has been considered in preparing the Plan.

Where additional education infrastructure may be required, this is identified in the Delivery Programme. The need, timing and funding of any future projects will depend on detailed assessments and future decisions.

Further information is available in the Education Background Report in the supporting documents section.

    What about healthcare?

The potential impact of planned growth on healthcare infrastructure has been considered in preparing the Plan, including engagement with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and other relevant partners.

Where appropriate, the Plan and Delivery Programme identify measures that may be required to address these impacts.

Further information is available in the Healthcare Background Report in the supporting documents section.

    What transport improvements are needed?

The Plan is supported by a Transport Appraisal, which looks at how new development could affect roads and transport and what improvements may be needed.

The Delivery Programme and Development Frameworks set out the transport improvements that may be needed to support new homes and development.

We also want to give people more choice about how they travel and make it easier to use the car less. This includes improving bus connections and creating safer and better routes for walking, wheeling and cycling. New homes should also be well connected toshops, schools, services, jobs and public transport, helping people meet more of their everyday needs locally.
